Our Story: Since day one, back in 2019, Quail Street was founded on roasting the freshest possible coffee for you and to throw in the occasional collaboration with other roasters & roasting the rare "special stuff". With that said, we are so excited & proud to bring you this limited quantity, non production roast. Limited to just 5 tins of 4oz per roast session, this one is a MUST try offering. We're sure you'll be glad you did.
The Coffee Story: Gesha ( or Geisha outside of Ethiopia ) is the "Wagu beef" of the coffee world. It's often used in competitions by Roasters & Baristas due to it "checks all the boxes" of what a coffee should be. Now lets up the ante and throw in the "wine process" which is really what we're showcasing here. The fruit is left on the shrub 2 weeks past due causing a slight fermentation type of effect to occur followed by a semi Sun / Shade naturally dried process to enhance the effect even further. What you end up with is a very aromatic Wine like funk. If you've had anaerobic or carbonic maceration coffees before, than this Gori Gesha is for you!
